Introducing the Local Network
The IET is represented at a local level by nearly 100 Local Networks operating around the world. Networks are groups of volunteers delivering events to promote engineering and the IET.

Governance
This section outlines the IET governance functions and the various boards and committees that relate to the Local Networks.

Planning and budgeting
This section provides essential information for Local Networks and any sub-sections that are responsible for IET funds and outlines the planning and budgeting process for the Local Network session that runs from October to September every year.

The IET has a series of accounting procedures that apply in order that Local Network accounts are managed in accordance with the charitable objectives.
